If you are an iPhone user you can transfer large files using AirDrop, but Android smartphone users face this problem. If you are an Android smartphone user, let me tell you that Google has introduced a service called ‘Nearby Share’ which can send photos, videos and other files to the user. Apps can also be shared through this.

How the ‘Nearby Share’ service works-
If you’re wondering how Google’s service works, let us tell you that, like Apple’s AirDrop, the ‘Nearby Share’ service allows users to establish a peer-to-peer Wi-Fi network between two users’ devices. Uses Bluetooth connection. This means that the user does not need mobile data or Wi-Fi to use this service. Both the transferee and the recipient need to have their phone’s WiFi and Bluetooth turned on.

Here’s how to use it on your phone:

To use this service, first open the ‘Files’ app on your smartphone by Google, a share icon will appear at the bottom right, click on it and then choose the ‘Send’ or ‘Receive’ option of your choice. This way, you can easily transfer all types of files, big or small.
